The Drive, The Music, and My Audi A3 – Introducing AutoFusion
Let me be honest with you—I’m the kind of guy who loves getting into his car, turning on some chill music, and just driving. Sometimes it’s a short journey around my neighborhood, and other times, it’s a longer drive just to unwind, relax, and enjoy some alone time.
Recently, I treated myself to an Audi A3 2017 Sportback, 1.6 TDI. It’s an incredible car. I loved everything about it—the sound of the engine, the smooth ride. That was about a year ago. Since then, Mercedes-Benz came out with something pretty amazing. They teamed up with the rapper Will.I.Am to unveil a new concept of car audio experience called Sound Drive.

So, what’s Sound Drive, you ask? Essentially, it manipulates things like bass, chords, and drums in real-time based on your driving speed. Sounds a little complicated, right? You’ll have to see it for yourself in the video (I’ll link it below).
Oh, and here’s the catch—it’s an app exclusively made for the AMG line of Mercedes cars.
And that got me thinking—how cool would it be to have something like that in my car? Now, don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love my Audi A3, and there’s no way I’m switching to anything else right now. So, how could I get that Sound Drive experience in my own ride? Well, you guessed it…
I made the app myself!I called it AutoFusion.
The name pretty much says it all—it’s an app designed for your car that fuses music with your driving experience. And guess what? The domain was available, so I grabbed it right away. That’s when the story really began.
I posted about my idea on Reddit, and in no time, I had over 200 early signups. That blew my mind! It was incredible to think that people actually wanted to use something I created. So, I dove headfirst into development. Now, after some time and a lot of hard work, it’s ready. The BETA launch is just around the corner, and I’ll be notifying everyone via email when it goes live.
I’ve been testing it, and I have to say—it works great. It feels just like that Mercedes-Benz MBUX Sound Drive experience! Of course, there’s still room for improvement, but hey, we’ve got a solid start, right? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.
How Does AutoFusion Work?
The app starts by playing ambient backing music while your speed is under 25 km/h (that’s about 15 mph). Once you pass that speed, the song gets fuller, with the bass section, keyboards, drums, and other instruments gradually coming in—depending on the genre you’ve selected.
At the moment, we have around 30 custom-made songs specifically crafted for the app, to give you the perfect experience.
As we continue developing the app, we’ll find even more interesting ways to manipulate audio signals in real time. Our goal is to enhance your driving and music listening experience and make it something truly unique.
Try it Out and Let Us Know What You Think!
You can check out the official page of the app to download it, try it out, and of course, leave us feedback so we can keep improving it.
